The diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy on end stages in a patient sets a devastating tone to him/ her and to their family as it is a blinding disease if not detected and treated at early stages. People should be aware of methods of early detection of diabetic retinopathy, which translates into early treatment and quality life to a patient with good vision. She particularly emphasizes on early detection of diabetic retinopathy by spreading awareness. Her areas of interest include Surgeries like complicated rhegmatogenous and diabetic tractional retinal detachments, Macular holes, epiretinal membrane and scleral fixated IOL. She has a focus of interests in macular disorders and retinal imaging.
