Dr. Srinivas Rao has been working in the field of cataract and glaucoma for period 22 years in these years he has had extensive experience in both the fields, establishing himself as a leader in the domain of related eye care.
He qualified as a medical practitioner from Karnatak Medical College.
He subsequently went ahead to do an advanced fellowship in at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai the fellowship gave him experience mainly in cataract and glaucoma surgeries.
He subsequently went for a short term oculoplasty fellowship with Dr AK Grover at Sri Gangaram Hospital in Delhi in the year he joined The Eye Foundation Hospital at Coimbatore as Senior Consultant and was subsequently promoted as centre head of Sungam branch for years where he performed more than 20,000 of cataract, glaucoma and other surgeries.
He subsequently moved to Bangalore and currently works as senior consultant at The Eye Foundation performing laser cataract surgery, phacoemulsification, lasik and oculoplasty procedures in addition to heading the glaucoma department
