Femto LASIK replaces the manual blade with a femtosecond laser to create the flap. This generally improves precision, flap uniformity and safety, and can reduce flap-related complications compared to conventional LASIK. Your surgeon will advise you if the added benefits are relevant to your eyes.
The laser time is usually just a few minutes per eye. Including preparation, the entire visit to the laser suite is typically 15–20 minutes, and most patients go home the same day.
Many patients feel comfortable resuming screen-based work in 2–3 days, but we recommend 3–5 days of reduced screen time, no eye rubbing and using prescribed eye drops regularly.
No. Numbing eye drops are used, so most patients feel only light pressure or mild discomfort during the procedure. Some may experience slight burning or watering for a few hours afterward.
Temporary dryness, glare, halos at night and mild fluctuations in vision can occur, usually improving over weeks. Serious complications are rare when eligibility is properly assessed and post-op instructions are followed.
