The Eye Foundation’s Press Note on 23rd Eye Hospital Opening in Vellore

The Eye Foundation has released a press note on the opening of its 23rd super specialty eye hospital in Vellore, which is a significant step in its growth strategy to deliver the best eye care to the needy in South India. The Eye foundation was started by Dr. D. Ramamurthy and has been a leading eye care centre with establishments in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. 

The new Vellore centre is located on Katpadi Main Road near Palar Bridge and occupies 15,000 sq ft of space and is NABH safe rated. Its specialized services include cataract and LASIK, paediatric ophthalmology, glaucoma, myopia, and neuro-ophthalmology services. Also, the center offers free eye check up and advice for the first two months of its operation. 

This press note also reveals that The Eye Foundation also undertakes charitable work through its ‘Netra Jyothi Trust’ and also stresses on doing research and training. The Eye Foundation has been in service for more than 40 years and still remains the pioneer in providing eye care services to the society.
