The Eye Foundation Super Specialty Eye Hospitals achieved a new height in its journey when the institution opened a new block at RS Puram branch dedicated to widen the horizon of eye care services.
The occasion was honored by the presence of Mr. Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Aarin Capital Partners, as the Chief Guest. Other notable personalities present at the event were Dr. Ramamurthy, Chairman and Managing Director of The Eye Foundation, Dr. Chitra Ramamurthy, Medical Director, and Dr. Rajasekaran, Chairman, the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Ganga Hospital.
The ceremony commenced with the welcome speech of Dr. Ramamurthy, who introduced the idea of establishing an institute that would offer the best services in the field of eye care.
About the New Block
The new block features a Ground + 5-floor structure, designed to efficiently accommodate 1,200–1,300 patients daily. Key highlights include:
- 1st and 2nd Floors: Services related to cataract and cornea and an oculoplasty facility.
- 3rd Floor: Refractive and LASIK care, and a LASIK Operation Theatre.
- 4th Floor: A specialized center for children’s eye care.
- 5th Floor: Eye health and the latest in laser treatments.
Additionally, the block features:
- New and separate waiting and counseling sections.
- 40 consultation rooms and 60 optometry counters.
- Infrastructures that will enable them to provide care services to outpatient and inpatient visitors.
- Car parking capacity of more than 120 cars and 200 two-wheelers.
The Eye Foundation has truly come up to the expectations of the society by using sophisticated equipment and friendly staff for patients.
