Dr. Dhrumil C. Khirsariya completed his MBBS from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad and obtained his DNB in Ophthalmology from the National Board of Examinations in 2013. He further pursued a Fellowship in Advanced Vitreoretinal Surgeries under Dr. Rajsree Arora at Nistha Retina Centre, Vadodara. During his academic journey, he received the Best Outgoing Post Graduate Award and was the First Runner-Up in the State Ophthalmic Quiz conducted by the Kerala Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons. He has also served as Secretary of the Idukki Malanadu Ophthalmic Society and the Kottayam Ophthalmic Society.

Dr. Dhrumil is a life member of the All India Ophthalmological Society, Kerala Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons, Indian Medical Association, Idukki Malanadu Ophthalmic Society, and the Kottayam Ophthalmic Society.

He has performed more than 7,000 phacoemulsification surgeries and over 4,000 MSICS surgeries. In addition, he has carried out more than 4,000 intravitreal injections and implants, and is highly experienced in vitreo-retinal surgeries including 23G and 25G vitrectomies. His surgical expertise also includes retinal laser photocoagulation, screening and treatment of retinopathy of prematurity, and advanced management of glaucoma, corneal and ocular surface disorders, dry eye disease, and myopia control therapy.

His areas of special interest include topical phacoemulsification surgeries, complex cataract surgeries, and implantation of premium intraocular lenses such as toric, EDOF, and trifocal lenses. He is also skilled in vitrectomy for vitreomacular interface disorders, management of diabetic retinopathy, pachychoroid and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, and macular neovascularisation. Furthermore, he has a strong focus on multimodal retinal imaging, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) screening, myopia management, and the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye disease.
