The floors are designed to cater to specific specialties:

Streamlined Patient Experience
Patients who visit the new block will be received by a team of 8 receptionists in the large lobby. For basic eye care services, patients will be referred to the existing block while for specific services, they will be shown to the respective floor. Every floor is independent and self-sufficient, so patients get all the treatments they need on the same floor.
Affordable and Charitable Eye Care
Dr. Ramamurthy also stressed that the prices of treatments in the new block will be the same as in the current ones. The Eye Foundation continues with its policy of affordable eye care, performing 15 cataract surgeries for free through Rajalakshmi Nethralaya every day. These services are also taken further to underprivileged patients through partnerships with organizations such as Rotary.
“We have a mission that no patient should leave the hospital without being treated,” Dr. Ramamurthy added while explaining the Foundation’s commitment to providing high quality eye care to everyone.
The new block is a major development in The Eye Foundation story and underlines its status as a provider of state-of-art eye care services.
